For many gamers, the new way of accessing games is to download a digital copy directly to their console which has advantages and disadvantages. The main advantage is that you do not accumulate a cupboard full of game discs but the disadvantage of this is that you cannot then either sell them on or share them with other gamers when you have completed the game. Downloaded versions also take up space on the systems hard drive which can cause issues on older console models.
If you do have a number of game discs that you no longer want, it is worth raising some money now before Christmas by selling them. Some people sell a bundle of games on social media selling pages for a fixed amount or if there are some popular titles amongst the collection selling them singly is an option. It is important to be realistic when setting a price for the games as they do lose value quite quickly and a game that cost you £50 a few months ago may only be worth half of that now.
Both online and high street tech stores will buy unwanted computer games and consoles but usually at a greatly reduced price. Vouchers that can be used to purchase other goods and games in store are often a better option as the store will pay more if you choose to receive payment in this way.
