Many children have been out back into home schooling again and finding that this time, unlike in March, they are expected to do a lot more work. Most schools are turning to online software such as Tapestry, Google classrooms or Seesaw to send out work and communicate with their pupils. This may make it easier to them to send more quickly and is more environmentally friendly than printing off worksheets, but it is meaning children are spending a lot of time of screens. This can be very bad for their eyesight and some children are already complaining of headaches more often that previously.

After all the schoolwork is down your child will want to relax and unwind and they may enjoy playing on games on their console such as a PlayStation, Xbox or Wii. The problem is that this is again more screen time but it seems unfair to stop them from doing what they enjoy after why have worked so hard. Some schools are trying to combat this by setting up screen free days, where they can set the work which can be then done away from a screen, giving the students time away from devices.
